Leading, listening and learning to bring people together.
I’m discovering that leadership can show up in lots of different places — on the cricket pitch, in school, or even across a table at Model United Nations. For me, it’s about having the confidence to share an idea, the patience to hear someone else’s, and finding a way to move forward together. My first formal leadership role came when I was elected Vice Captain of my House on the Junior Learner Council in 2023. Since then, I’ve had opportunities to represent JBCN beyond school too, participating in JBCN MUN, Podar MUN and BIS MUN. MUN fascinates me because there is so much happening at once — different countries, different opinions, debate, diplomacy and lots of thinking on your feet. Being awarded Best Collaborator in both 2025 and 2026 has been especially meaningful to me. It reminds me that leadership isn’t always about having the loudest voice in the room; sometimes, it’s about listening closely enough to bring different voices together.
